SEMIAHMOO RAVENS HOCKEY ANNOUNCEMENT 

Semiahmoo Ravens Hockey is excited to announce the return of Dave Newson to our association as the Director of Hockey Operations.  Newson previously led the Ravens from 2014-2022 and had spent the past three years as the CEO at BC Rugby.  Dave’s love for hockey and his track record to continually innovate, both on and off the ice will further enhance our player’s experience at all levels.

Dave had this to say about his return to the Semiahmoo Ravens organization:

“I am extremely excited about returning to the Ravens. I felt that we made a big impact in improving the hockey experience in my first term with Semiahmoo, and Scott and the team have continued that over the past three years. When the opportunity presented itself to work in concert with them to continue this positive transformation, it was the perfect fit. I am looking forward to reconnecting with many in the association and getting to know others that share the passion for the Ravens in this community.”

Scott Ackles added: “I am thrilled to have Dave return to our leadership team and oversee Hockey Operations. Dave’s experience and innovative approach will further benefit player development for all ages and streams.”

“We are extremely excited to have Dave back with the Association.  His experience with our association and with building programs that can enhance the development of our players and teams will add a tremendous amount of value to our members.  Adding him to our team, led by Scott Ackles, will help the Semiahmoo Ravens continue to grow in a positive direction.”
