Semiahmoo Ravens Pro Am Alumni Event
Monday, July 29 (South Surrey/White Rock) – The Semiahmoo Ravens Minor Hockey Association is excited to announce the creation of the Semiahmoo Ravens Pro Am Alumni Event which will take place January 3 to 5, 2025. Proceeds raised from the event will go to support KidSport Surrey/White Rock, The Canucks Autism Network, The Peninsula Community Foundation, and Semiahmoo Minor Hockey. The weekend will also feature former NHL players competing with each team.
Teams will be comprised of eight Ravens alumni teams and four corporate teams made up of local business people. They will compete in a competition to raise the most funds for the noted charities with the NHLers being drafted in order of highest fundraising team to lowest. Each team will play two games over the course of the weekend – one at Centennial Arena, one at South Surrey Arena and there will be an All-Star game featuring all of the NHL alumni and the top twenty fundraisers Sunday afternoon at South Surrey Arena. All of the games will be open to the public.

Already the event has confirmed the following NHL Alumni to participate: Jason Garrison, Mike Brown, Anthony Peluso, Jim Vandermeer and Team Canada Gold Medallist, Megan Agosta. More players will be announced as the weekend draws closer. The luncheon and draft will be hosted by former Vancouver Canucks and Hockey Night in Canada Play by Play legend, Jim Hughson.
